Privacy Policy
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, shows no advertising and loads nothing from third-party servers. The only personal data processed is what a web server unavoidably records when it serves a page.
Controller
Ivan Smakov, Oberweihbach 1, 87480 Weitnau, Germany.
Contact details are on the Impressum page.
The controller is established in Germany, so the GDPR applies to this processing regardless of where visitors are located.
Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the site, the hosting provider’s servers automatically record standard log data, which may include your IP address, the requested URL, the date and time of the request, the referring page, and your browser and operating system identifiers.
This data is processed to deliver the website, to maintain its technical operation and stability, and to defend against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website. We do not merge this data with other sources and do not use it to identify individuals.
Because Cloudflare is a U.S. company, this processing can involve a transfer of personal data to the United States. That transfer is covered by a data processing agreement with Cloudflare incorporating the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Cloudflare’s own privacy documentation is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
No cookies, no tracking
This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage, and contains no analytics, tracking pixels, advertising or social media components. There is no contact form, no comment function, no login and no newsletter, so no data is collected from you directly.
All fonts, styles and page content are served from this site’s own domain. No request is made to any third-party server when you view a page, so no third party receives your IP address through this site.
If advertising or analytics is added in future, this page will be updated before that happens, and any consent required will be requested at that time.
External links
Pages on this site link to external websites, including NHTSA. Clicking such a link takes you off this site; from that point the privacy policy of the destination applies. No personal data is transmitted to the destination by us when you click.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15),
- request rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16),
- request erasure (Art. 17),
- request restriction of processing (Art. 18),
- data portability (Art. 20),
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in the Impressum. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Please note that server log data is not linked to your identity, so in most cases we will not be able to locate records relating to you from a name or email address alone.
Retention
Server log data is retained by the hosting provider only as long as needed for technical operation and security, and is then deleted or aggregated.
